Fall Backpack Hike up to the AMC Lonesome Lake Hut

A group of 9 Senior Girl Scouts plus 6 adult leaders made their way up from the Lafayette Campground parking lot to the AMC Lonesome Lake hut in the White Mountains on a glorious New England fall day.

Once settled in the hut the group split up and went on two hikes of different difficulty levels. Afterwards everyone enjoyed playing games and preparing their own dinner. The night sky was breathtaking.

The next day they hiked down in the rain, but still a good time was had by all!

Lexington Girl Scouts walk in the 2019 Lexington Patriot's Day Parade.

The float had an outdoor theme showcasing a tent, canoe and archery target, and signs with messages from the girls about "What Girl Scouts Means" to them.  The float won first prize in the 'Youth Float contest' and the truck was kindly provided by Mal's Service Center.
